My love of good, authentic, Italian food is rooted deeply within me.  It's my heritage. It's genetic.  My Momma is a fantastic cook.  My Nonna was even better! We ate what we were given, and we didn't complain. Why would we? We had delectable ribs in our gravy and crab legs in our marinara! We ate well and loved to share our Sunday dinners with extended family and friends.

So in the summer of 2014, after feeding my friends for 25+ years, they encouraged me to combine my passion for Italian food & my hobby of canning tomatoes. Gravy Girl was born!

The name, The Eyetalian Gravy Company, is tongue-in-cheek. We are E-talian. Not I-talian. Parts of the U.S. have a tough time with the pronunciation, and humor is only second to good food in ways Italian families show love.

So, why gravy and not sauce? It's an argument amongst Italians everywhere. Where my family is from, South Philadelphia & New Jersey, this is what we call it.  Don't fight it.  Just go with it!
